NSF - ACS Water Line

The multiple uses of water make it an important resource for human activities.
First, water is necessary for the human organism.
Also, its quality can lead to dramatic consequences if it is the vector of pathogenic micro-organisms or pollution.

Even with good quality water, treatment must be considered to ensure correct quality. In most cases, the production of drinking water requires the use of chemical or other additives, liquid or soluble, to achieve the objectives set by local governments (organoleptic, physico-chemical and microbiological parameters). As the devices used in the water treatment process are in contact with water, some legislation also sets objectives for its contamination through the migration of particles from the equipment to the water.

Dosatron Water Line

Volumetric and proportional, DOSATRON dosers allow precise and repeatable dosing of treatment additives using only the hydraulic energy available on the network in which they are installed.
Mainly dedicated to the drinking water treatment in rural areas, the Water Line dosers can also be integrated in many more industrial water treatment applications (remineralisation, pH recovery, membrane disinfection, sludge dewatering, etc.).

The Water Line product line now includes NSF/ANSI 61 & 372 certified dispensers, a certification required for any device potentially in contact with drinking water from the source to the point of consumption.

NSF/ANSI CERTIFICATION 61 & 372

NSF International is an independent certification body responsible for developing public health standards. NSF International is also accredited to test and certify equipment to ensure that it complies with established standards.

The NSF/ANSI 61 & 372 standard was developed to establish requirements for potential adverse effects on human health of equipment in contact with drinking water (production, transport).

The NSF/ANSI 61 & 372 certified Water Line dispensers were subjected to a detailed toxicological analysis. The composition of each device (sub-assemblies, materials, suppliers) was analyzed and referenced by NSF International. Each device has undergone release tests to confirm that harmful particles do not migrate into the water.
Finally, DOSATRON has received NSF International for a complete audit of its system, which will be renewed annually.

The integration of NSF/ANSI 61 & 372 certified Water Line dispensers in water treatment applications offers a real alternative to standard dosing technologies, providing precision, robustness and ease of maintenance while protecting the health of users.

ACS CERTIFICATION

When products such as pipes, valves, pumps, etc. are made from inappropriate materials, they can degrade when in contact with drinking water, impurities can infiltrate the water and these materials can promote microbial growth.

Beyond taste and odour problems, this presents a significant risk factor for human health but also a danger to the aquatic environment if these residues are not eliminated by appropriate wastewater treatment.

There are therefore rules on materials and articles in contact with drinking water that guarantee consumers drinking water without health risks.

DOSATRON products certified by ACS (Link 1 | Link 2 | Link 3 | Link 4 | Link 5) comply with the quality requirements set out in the Public Health Code (CSP) transposing Directive 98/83/EC of 3 November 1998 on the quality of water intended for human consumption.

The validity of a certificate can be verified by contacting the issuing laboratory, or by consulting the list of valid health certificates of conformity published by the Carso Group laboratories.
